Amazing.  So hence I have been sewing, made these little treasures, Very pleased I can still use a needle.  They are lovely for brooches, head bands, scrapbook papers and cards etc  Thanks to Scrap 365 for some of the inspiration.

A springtime page

Here is just one page from the album I talked about in a previous post. It was taken last year in Spalding.

A scrapbook present

There are two reasons for this scrapbook - firstly as a present for a friend whose birthday is in May. We visit several gardens during each year and although she has a camera she never uses it. So I thought I would make an album of our visits for her. The second purpose is to inspire my scrapbooking group. I have a group of ladies that come to me every month for scrapbooking so to show the techniques I used and to help them along the way I am making this album.

Girly Journal Page

I purchased a copy of a book called Doodles Unleashed last week, it is a really good book with lots of ideas in it. Here is one of them, it is mainly done with Inktense Blocks, they are very vibrant and easy to use and of course outlined with Pitt artist pen. Thanks for looking. I might go back and add some jewels!!!!!! Now bejewelled!!

Art Journaling

Now back to craft I did an art journaling page today, I purchased some new stamps and wanted to use them, they are from Stampotique - strange little things but they appealed to me, really I thought my 6 year old grandson would appreciate them. So embarked on a double page, its very blue, but I wanted tone on tone feel. So here it is!! Off to Alley Pally tomorrow!!! more later.

My garden

This post has absolutely nothing to do with crafting, but I have been waiting for my Camillia to bloom and now it has three flowers, I have had the plant about two years. Have had them previously and for no reason they died, so not to be beaten I tried again. This is lovely!!

Altered Photo Frames

Here are a couple of frames I have altered using modeling paste, when no longer sticky stamping into the paste, then leave to dry completely overnight and painting with acrylic paints and a bit of stickles for added interest. Have made these to sell at craft fairs. Very pleased with them.

Sunday Stamper - numbers

So as I have been late or failed to post for the last couple of weeks, going to be early this week. Here is my contribution to numbers mainly using Alcohol inks. background is splatter of inks on the mountboard tag, sinks in early quickly, but I like the effect, a bit of stamping and embossing, the additional topper to the tag with the large numbers is alcohol inks on cooking foil I love the effect. Finished off with grungepaper flowers and butterfly, paper is painted with PA Fesco paint. stamped in DI black soot and painted with Alcohol Inks. I really liked the effect. (My first effort for the flowers went wrong as I used archival ink then realised that solvent ink and alcohol inks wont go!!! egghead that I am). Anyway the end results I am so pleased with.

Stampman Vellum Challenge

Oh dear I did not realise it has been a while since I blogged, had a very busy couple of weeks, managed to craft, take pics but not get as far as putting stuff on my blog, so here we go on catch up. Firstly this challenge came just at the right time I needed to make a 40th birthday card for my daughter, it need to say 40 but discreetly, so stamped the card with Versamark and dusted with Pan Pastels and coverd with vellum overlay. The next layer is also Pan Pastels and stamping and more pan pastels. Next layer vellum through an embossing folder and the Sizzix. Finally TH wordplay die cut letters and pinecone roses. I hope she likes on the 17th I have also made a box to protect it in the post.
