Lin Browns stamps

I love the new stamps Lin Brown has created for Paperartsy.   I bought two lots last week end at Stamperama and a few more Fresco paints to add to my collection.  i am getting much braver and now am mixing colours more.  Really nice vintage style lace from Paperartsy too. Here are a few cards I made.

Houses inspired by Linda

This is my interpretation of Linda Cain's house piece for Paperartsy.   I did not have anything in stock so had to make my own houses using Tim Holtz dies and a canvas board.  The colours I used are (no suprises here!!!) Peacoat, Mermaid Blue and White. The canvas started with Peacoat a bit of Mermaid and then some white. Stamped with the Paperartsy script mini, I also used this on the mini houses at the bottom, and used the Paperartsy flowers minis for inside the houses. The photo holds a secret!!!!! (The baby in the photo is me!!) I like the piece so much I have going to hang it somewhere in my home.

Craft Barn H

So here is my entry for letter H.  I have chosen H or horticulture "the art or science of gardening".

So I sprayed the background with Dylusions sprays and stamped with Jo Firth Youngs floral stamps across the double page and coloured with various mediums. I am pleased with the page, hope you like it too.  Thanks for looking.

Vintage Lady

Well as I didnt have a wooden item I could alter, I decided to diecut a Vintage Cabinet Shape and go from there.  The background is Peacoat, Mermaid and White, I know I use these colours alot but I only have a few Paperartsy paints, will hopefully get some more this weekend at Stamperama!!!!. The lady I found on Paperartsy stamp WW1 and the moths were from HP1006 and somewhere under there is the Paperartsy mini script stamp, which I thought I had lost, pleased I found it. Finished off with Liquid Pearls.

Welcome back Linda

I just have to say I love, love using Distressed Inks in this way and flowers as well, so up my street.

I have used Shaded Lilac, Salty Ocean, Dried Marigold, Crushed Olive and Squeezed Lemon, along with Jo Firth Youngs stamps which  again I love.   A little bit of white pen marking, I have tried to be a bit experimental and not copy!!!.  I must admit for my tag I did colour the ribbon with Shaded Lilac.

Hope you like.

Inspired by Helen at Paperartsy

Thanks for your inspiration this week Helen, had forgotten about the little pad of kraft glassine paper I had, sorry its not the Paperartsy version, but it works.  I used two colours this week, Mermaid and Autumn Fire. Autumn Fire covered the base and I add this to some texture paste to add texture, then a bit of puff paint, more Mermaid and as I final bit of bling Silver Liquid Leaf. The stamp is from HP1005. I painted one lot of glassine with Mermaid and the other I heated and added Perfect Pearls, gathered together with a jewel from way back when. To finish off a piece of wire etc.

Craft Barn Letter E

Here is my contribution the Letter is E and I have chosen eye, so I could do a bit of free hand drawing/painting in my journal. I started with a white gesso base and then lots of course on top.  I use transulcent Luminarte inks etc with some white paint added to make them more opaque ans ome stamping for decoration.!!

Sunday Stamper - Animals

Here is my entry this week, do not have many animal stamps, but do have this lovely cat one, so here are my physco coloured cats!!!!!

Inspired by Michelle

I am very inspired by Michelle's work, but did not have anything wood to alter, so found a printers tray I have had for sometime wondering what I was going to do with it, so that was it.  I have tried to do a few more pics of the progress of the tray. So I started by painting with Gesso and then I started to paint with Fresco Sherbet.

After that I decided I needed a darker shade so decided on Pea Coat but that was too dark for the background I did use it later for decorations.  But for the background I mixed with Sherbet for a different colour. (This was very brave) I should say at the sametime as doing to tray I painted a piece of paper for the background and also a piece of metal card, not much of that left now. Roll on Stevenage when I can replenish supplies!!  After painting the metal card I embossed and rubbed back to show metal. So here is the tray with the boxes filled with the backgrounds.

Then on the fill and add decorations, as usual it had to be flowers from Paperartsy Minis, having a panic as I seem to have lost my script mini!!!! i also used the Paperartsy small flower die and the dragon fly.

And here is the finished article.

Pebeo Fantasy Paints

After having watched Sheena Douglass on TV recently I became inspired by Pebeo Fantasy and Moon paints, so I had to have a little go.  Here are a few pics of the results i have achieved.  This is a little time consuming and needs to be done bit by bit. I  stamped and did the outlines one day and did the colouring/painting the next day bit by bit, using all one colour at a time, if you get me!!!

Another Gift Bag

This time its a mini version of its bigger sister, but managed to work out the sizing to down size and here it is.

Inspired again

Inspired by Suzz to do an ATC, havent done any for ages.  But I do love the technique using Paperartsy  Foiled Card, with crackle medium.  For this one I used Butternut as the first coat on top of the crackle medium, stamped using Paperartsy Minis and coloured in with Limelight and Autumn Fire. Very simple!!  Sorry the photo aint the best.
