3D Embossing Folders in a different way!

I recently watched Julia Watts using a gelli plate to do this, so thought I would have a go using the John Lockwood media plates and it works. Place the media plate on your craft mat and ink with Distressed Oxides using a brayer and then press the Embossing folder on top, remove and now place a piece of card on to the media plate. The result is a lovely distressed background. The sample below I finished off with s few stamps and a sentiment from Woodware stamps.

So today I got hold of some lovely Adorable Scorable Card and one of the new Crafter Companion  3D Embossing Folders. This one would make a card for any occasion not just Christmas. Very pleased to find another use for these fab Folders.
