Gift Bags

 I think I may have told folks about these gift bags a long while ago but I have recently been working on a Zoom craft event and these bags fit into the time criteria just perfectly. So I thought I would start my plans to be a better blogger. The larger bags are made from 12” x 12” card and the smaller one from 8” x 8”.

A few more projects

Hi all I have now finished two more projects, as previously stamped and embroidered. One is a present for a friend you lent me the stamp before lockdown, I have offered to drop it to her but she said it’s ok to hang on to it. Kind friend.

Using skills I had forgotten

So during this time of lockdown I have combined two skills, stamping and a little bit of simple embroidery. Here are a few samples. I stamped in versafine Clair and on some I have added colour with Izink pens, then simple embroidery and as a final touch sometimes beads or alternatively Liquid Pearls. I am very pleased with the result.

So now is the time to try and blog each day.

I am keeping a Journal, it started as a flower journal of my garden through different times of the year, so I have gone off target a bit and I am now adding how I am feeling. Here are a couple of pages I will add more and blog them.

Something different!!

Not a piece of paper or stamping in this make.  My Christmas door wreath. Completely made from recycled items the wire base from last year, greenery from the garden and decorations from previous years wreaths. The only thing new was the wire used for wrapping but one roll of wire will last three years.

Loved making it down side sore hands!!! Minor detail!!!

Sweet Poppy Stencils

There was a good Black Friday discount on Sweet Poppy Stencils so decided to treat myself to these two stencils which I have had my eye on for a while.

The stag is beautiful for Christmas and I will show some samples later in the week. But this one is using Sparkle Pens for the background and then inked through the stencil with Morning Mist Versaclare ink and embossed with clear powder. Quite effective.

The second one is the Octopus again this is a back ground from my stash mainly done in Distressed Oxides, I then inked through the stencil in the same way but didn’t emboss. This time I outlined in a back pen, added some sparkle and glossy accents to finish.
