Another day and more stamps

Again the stamps are from Paperartsy this time the designer is Tracey Scott.  The background is what I call a messy pick up from my crafting Matt, I think it was Sparkle Pens this time and coloured on top with Clean Colour water colour pens. It’s a little grungy for me so a bit outside my comfort zone but I really like it.

Good morning hope you are all having a good Easter weekend. I am having a crafting weekend.

So here is the first card using EKC17 from Kay Carley I just used this stamp set for this card just lots of layers.

Firstly I used Distressed Oxides for the background using a Bauer and splashes of water. After that a lot of background stamping using Archival Ink in Leaf Green and Hydrangea. The final stamping is in black Versafine black and clear Embossing powder, some black and white pen work completes the design.

Inspired by Kay Carley

I spent Saturday helping at a Workshop run by Kay Carley from Paperartsy for Keep on Crafting. It was a great day only downside was I didn’t get to craft but learnt a few tricks.  So Sunday had to be a craft day using all my ideas from Kay.  Here are my ideas.

Mixed media

When we think of mixed media we usually think of a canvas but mixed media can also we on card format. So here is my idea for a mixed media card.

So I started with a background using Crafters Companion sparkle pens, then stamping in dark blue Archival ink I used one of Sheena’s stamps from way back. Then I stamped various stamps from  Indigo Blu cause I like their stamps and coloured in Clean Colour water colour pens. So a real mix match of different products just to prove anything goes. Finished off with decoration of Liquid Pearls.

Workshops for Ch............

I do know it is seriously too early to be thinking about the C word but simetimes you just have to !!! When you have put forward suggestions.

This is an Imagination Crafts stencil, Starlight Paints, fabric, an embroidery hoop and beads very effective!!!!

One back ground two cards

For today’s post I used one piece of master board background made using Distressed Oxide Inks, these are from the latest release. Love these colours! Then stamping and adding some die cut mountboard shapes which has also been through an embossing folder to add texture. Thanks for dropping bye my blog.

Fused Glass

Just occasionally I like to be the student and learn something new. This happened a couple of weeks ago and I had a really lovely afternoon letting my  creativity loose on glass. I made two love hanging pictures. Here they are one to hang in the lounge and the blue one for the bedroom. Great to do something different.
