Cleverprints Inspiration week

For my blog post I chose this cleaning and simple card.  

Here is what I used

Firstly I used the Distressed Oxide inks and applied to my card using a sponge through the stencil.

Next step I used the large patchwork stamp to my background using Versafine ink.

I then added more colour using my Clean colour water colour pens.

Finally I matted up and added a piece of cord to the centre.

Cleverprints sunflower

 When I first made this card for Cleverprints I used just sunflower flower colours but I realised that this would look so good done in yellows and blues to show support for Ukraine.

Here is the stamp set and dies I used.

I started by stamping the flower twice. The first one is the base and used as a guide where to place the petals. 

For the centre of the flower I cut out the centre of the flower and coloured in blue ribbon and mustard seed. I then die cut the leaf to make the petals four of each colour.

I used jell type glue to place the petals around the base and added the centre piece to the top. 

Here is my original, so you can see this could be done in different colours depending on the event.

Decorating a jar

 So today I am doing a step by step decorating a jar. I am using the new In the Garden Stamps designed by Jane Royston for Cleverprints LTD. A fab set of stamps I loved working with.

Step1 stamp out three or four flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black  on to plain rice paper and  colour with alcohol markers.

Step 2 cut out leaving a small white line around the flowers.

Step 3 attach to jar using PVA glue this can be watered down a little if it is too thick, using a paint brush. 

To finish off I have add some flower foam die cut flowers and stamen to the top or you could add paper flowers or anything you have in your stash!! Also I added a battery candle.

My final picture is the jar in this blog post and a different one in a slightly smaller jar.

In the Garden

 I thought today I would add a few of my samples for the Cleverprints designed by Jane Royston called In The Garden.
