Tree decorations

Another one of my successes are my felt tree decorations, have made lots of different things this Christmas no wonder that I have yet to finish my Cards!!!!! Have also made a couple of reindeers but they need their noses finishing, and I only got the small buttons yesterday will post when done with a bit of luck.

Shaped boxes

Another item I made loads of is my little shaped boxes, they take four chocolates beautifully (the round ones I cant spell the name of!!) or any other little item they have been so popular, but I still need to make a few more for family get together this next weekend!!

Christmas Angels

These little beauties along with others ready for my craft stall this weekend!!  I started this post three weeks ago on my ipad then could not link up the pictures so now I have a bit of time I have download pics and here goes!!!!

Crackers!!!!!!

I have spent alot of time making and demoing various Christmas items one of these is my posh crackers.

They are made from 300 gsm card so not for "pulling" but for putting small gifts in or for decoration.

At the Bead Boutique

Yesterday I spent a lovely morning at the Bead Boutique in Long Melford and made a necklace and bracelet.  The technique is calling Viking Knitting, and basically for those of you as old as me it is a Knitting Nancy but larger and you use wire and beads.  Very pleased with my results. But the main reason for wanting to learn this technique was to make Christmas decorations, so here are the results. Also made on in gold but not photoed yet.  Hope to get some more done today.  And finally my apologies for being missing for so long excuses to follow!!!!!!

Back to Butterflies

I made this cute little mini album for my grandson, we went on a butterfly workshop when he was staying with me a few weeks ago, he made a butterfly catcher(mashed up fruit, lovely!!!!!) and a mobile, as it was raining we did not seem many butterflies but Thomas enjoyed the afternoon. The Album is made from three cards, two pieces of 12 x 12 paper and two pieces of mountboard and a piece of ribbon.

More Christmas

How sad am I, this is an idea I have been working on using polystyrene cones, pieces of double sided card stuck on and decorated with card candi.

Christmas ideas

Oh that sounds aweful, thinking of Christmas at the end of August, but I am trying to get organised with samples for a workshop or three I am running at the end of September. So here is one idea I have using the theme The Night before Christmas, the stamps are the background is from Stamp Addicts and the toppers are stamps by Clarity Stamps.  The first is a wall hanging.

And the next is a Christmas Card

Butterflies again

My beautiful butterflies have been transported into a scrapbook page.

Painting on material

Have been having a go at stamping and painting on material, thanks to Lin Brown for inspiration. Complete with crumpled flower!!

Here is a little wall hanging I have made, very soon it will be on its way to you Sue,  for our monthly swap, just not sure what month I am working on at the moment.

I am pleased with the results and off to practice more!!!

Summer Days

This is not quite holidays, but its sort of what I think is summer holidays.  I loved making the tissue tape flower, I have made one or two recently but thats for another post soon, when I find the picture.  Trying to get back into challenges but there is just not enough hours in the day for me. And the Olympics have taken over alot of my time, but it has been amazing.

Golden Wedding Card

I am off to a golden wedding party on Wednesday so here is the card I have made complete with matching box.  I am also using this to enter the Metal  Stampman Challenge.

For another project!!

I have been working on mini albums for another potential project, here is what I have created so far.

This one is a standard tag album made using DL envelopes and bound using the Bind it All machine.

The second one is a desk top flip over jobby made using mountboard, paper and what I call D rings but I dont think that is the correct name, but they come apart on hinges. Sorry second picture is not the
best!!!!

Washi Tape Flowers

I had a go at making these little beauties this morning.  All are cut from a 3" circle but come out different depending on how tight you roll them and also what you use to stick together. For the Blue, Pink and Purple one (my first attempt) I tried to stick with Glossy Accents. This was not the best medium to stick with, so for the others I used the hot glue gun much more successful.  Although I like the bigger one the smaller ones look neater and dont need a bead in the centre to cover the workings!!!

But I am well pleased with them!!!

Paper Folding

Along with all the other crafts that I love, I also like paper folding.  This card I saw first I think either on You Tube or TV.  This is my version using some lovely Blonde Moments papers I pick up at AFTH in Harrogate, plus buttons and ribbon all co-ordinate well.

My Thursday Craft Group

Here are some of the bags my ladies made last week.   We used a template I found somewhere as I dont have the TH die for this type of bag, I think it works fairly well though.

Stampman - Summer Colours

Here is my entry for the Stampman Challenge - Summer Colours.   I use a combination the spring and summer distresssed inks splattered with water, stamped and lifted some of the colour and colour again with distressed inks.  The beautiful ribbon started life white but with a bit of Salty Ocean turned a beautiful shade of blue to match the card. I then background stamped in Squeezed Lemon. A couple of buttons and done. Hope you like.

AFTH Part 3

The final workshop was with Kaz this time we made a little bag using TH die, sprayed with Dylusions sprays and painted with them too, added some layers and stamping and the end result is below, sorry I did not get time to say goodbye to everybody, but had to dash for train, As it was raining, Ali ran me to the station in her car.  Thanks Ali.

AFTH Part 2

My next workshop was with the amazing Dyan, whom I met for the first time, have watched her on U Tube etc but she is so lovely. We did techiques with her including a bleaching effect without bleach and a shaddow effect.  Again I finished off at home as the workshops were for an hour so alot to pack in and lots of laughs too.  I did buy just one or two essential (hum!!) bits and the lovely Ali is sending on as it was a bit too much to carry on the train!!!!  Many thanks

Art from the Heart Part 1

I had a fab day last Saturday at Art from the Heart, although it did mean leaving home at 6.30 am and not getting back till 9pm it was a brill day. I managed to do some workshops.  Here is what I did.

Firstly with Sandy a little tag book, with Dylusions sprays, distressed inks etc etc. I finished it off at home and added ribbon and a special heart.

A Special Scrapbook

One of the things I have been busy on is making two scrapbooks both for presents, one for a birthday and this one for the lady who organised our trip to the Harrogate Flower Show.  We had a lovely weekend but boy did it rain, but whats new there.  l gave her the book last week and to say she was delighted was an understatement!!  I have found an economical way of making scrapbooks, this one is
8 x 8 but I am soon to try 12 x 12.  I start off with two pieces and mountboard, cut just larger than the paper protectors, cover with paper, punch holes in the sides with a crop a dile and trim, I think it works very well.

My little Friend

This little visitor has decided that my garden is his/her territory, the only time it goes missing is when I am looking after my daughters two dogs, watch out cat they are coming in a weeks time!!!

With Apologies

I am a very bad blogger, its been nearly two months since I posted. Only excuse is have been very busy. Not good enough really, so now I must make amends.

First one is a 90th Birthday Card I have been asked to make. Very pleased with the results, used Wendy Vecchi stamps, tattered flowers dies and Slice Machine for the letters.
