Was reminded about this technique this week. Turning Kraft card into faux leather, using water and glycerine mix to breakdown the fibres of card, passing through embossing folder, then inking with with distressed inks. Finished off with a gloss medium. Looks even better in really life!!

Another scrapbook page
This one is inspired by Pam Thorburn, guest designer on the Paperartsy blog. Used a plain page coloured with paint, stamps and stencils. The wording is some sponge letters that I have had for ages and never the right colour, so I painted them, so glad I didn't throw them away. Really like this page, bit different from my normal style!!!

Birthdays coming up
I have several friends with birthdays in the next few weeks. To do something different I have decided to alter some strong paper mâché boxes. Here is box number one, very simple, but effective I think!!!
No sure what is going inside yet!!!!

Abstract Cards For Guys
These three cards are made from one A4 sheet of Paperartsy Stamping Card, plus white and black card. The background is inspired by Ellen Vargo, guest designer this week at Paperartsy. All done with a brayer, and some stamping and more paint in an abstract fashion. I did not get all my squares exactly the sample in size and shape but as I then cut the card up it did not matter. A few words and the other thing I love white pen work and there you have it job done. Three cards ready for this years round of birthdays.

Fresco paints using a Brayer
Ellen Vargo is the guest designer this week on the Paperartsy blog. So for this card I painted a background using the Brayer, next came a layer of stamping, then I used a stencil with a paste, unfortunately I have run out of Grunge paste, so used a substitute, no where near as good, so it is on my shopping list. Added some Treasure Gold. Added a few flowers made from Modelling film covered with material which I did not like, so added paint and Treasure Gold and shaped.

Inspired by Paperartsy
This week my contribution is inspired by all the posts from our guest designers, so many thanks to all. I started out with a blank piece of greyboard this was stipples with different Fresco paints and several bits of board left clear, then cover with distressed inks. The next stage as I had paint left over was to cover a piece of Kraft glassine with paint to make the flowers and a layer of stencilling, followed by some stamping with mini script and embossed in gold. I used Lin Browns stamps for the flowers, which I then embossed in clear. I finished the layout with clever little flower centres which I learnt how to make yesterday at Crafting Time at Shepreth, dots of glue from a hot glue glue, let go cold and covered in mica powder. Treasure gold finished off the edges.
Thanks for looking!!!

Deco patch box
This will be the challenge for Thursdays craft group on week three, have got some great paper mâché boxes to alter.
An inspiring week
The paperartsy blog has inspired me again. Dug out the Portfolio crayons, a stencil and some JOFY stamps and here it's my efforts. Love the effect that using a baby wipe to remove some of the crayon gives.
Now that I am happy with!!
This is a revamped piece i entered for one of the Paperartsy Christmas crackers, but was not happy here is the original version.
Now I have tarted up and I am a happy bunny, enough to hang it on the wall in my lounge!!!!

Textured Canvas
I was inspired to create this canvas by Clare Lloyd who is guest designer this week on the Paperartsy blog. I base painted the canvas, added a different paint mixed with grunge paste to the top and bottom, I used too many different paints to list them all to achieve the wall, sky etc
I then stamped several of JOFY 's flower stamps, painted and cut out and attached to the background. Added a band of ribbon again stamped to give a bit of interest, and finished off with a few words and of course some treasure gold to highlight.

Thursday crafting
This week I have spent time planning and preparing samples.
Week one will be a simple stamped card using either Promarkers or Lyra Aqua water colours to colour. The stamped image will be embossed so either will work.
Week two will be a butterfly hanging, long strip of mount board which has had the crackle treatment. Finished with two layer butterfly die cuts.

Christmas Cracker 3
Just enough time to get my entry in - I have been wanting to do something along these lines for a while. I found a shaped piece of mount board, covered with grunge paste mixed with Fresco Pansy. Dug out various bits and bobs to make the clusters. It started out like this
And finished off with these paints and a touch of White Fire Treasure Gold ended up like this!!!!
