Scrapbooking/Gelli Plate

I had a lovely day out on Wednesday with our U3a Garden Visits Group at Hindringham Hall in Norfolk. Early this week I was inspired by Pam Thornburn on the Paperartsy blog to dig out the Gelli Plate and make a couple of background sheets.  The one I have chosen to use for this page included JOFY stamps and various odd paints I wanted to use up. So I used most of the page either as diamonds for the central panel, words or flowers.   Thanks for looking.

A Butterfly tag

This tag is inspired by a piece that Jo Myhill did on the Paperartsy blog on Thursday evening, not sure I used all of the steps but hopefully most of them and I am very pleased with the outcome I achieved.  All the products I used are from Paperartsy, stamps by Darcy, Fresco Paints and good old Thorndean paper and Grunge Paste, plus embossing powders.  Of which I managed to throw one pot all over the craft room floor, not good at 11pm at night. Thanks for look. Full details of the techniques hop over to Paperartsy.

Inspired by Ellen Part 2

Here is my second piece inspired by Ellen on the Paperartsy Blog.  I did not have all the same components as Ellen did so decided to use what I had in my stash.  I used Fresco paints, Ellen's stamps, a script stamp for the flowers.  Various bits from my jewellery making stash as well and of course nothing is every complete without a splash of  Treasure Gold.  Thanks for visiting!!!

Craft Barn Challenge - Change

Here is my entry for the Craft Barn Challenge Change and Truth, I chose the word change for this one and found a quote I liked.  it is quite pale, I used Fresco paints, Grunge Paste and a Paperartsy stencil, together with  Treasure Gold.  Thanks for looking.

Inspired by Ellen part 1

I am
always inspired by Ellen's work and this week is no exception which is why I have called this page part one as I feel there will be more to inspire me as the week goes on.  I followed the instructions on the Paperartsy blog and used Fresco paints, Cheesecake, Mermaid and Guacamole applied with a bayer for the background.  I then used Ellen's stamps and Stazon ink and finished off the stamping part with Antartic using a Paperartsy Hotpick Stamp from set HP1010.  I will use this masterboard to make cards etc in the coming days.  Thanks for looking at my blog!!

Arty Inklings Challenge

This is my entry for the Arty Inklings Challenge, an altered bottle.  Well its actually a paint bottle as I could not find anything glass to alter.  So a cover the bottle with a piece of my stamped masterboard, which I made using JOFYs stamps and coloured pencils.  The Flowers are stamped and painted with Fresco paints, cut out and layered up. The centres of the flowers are hot glue circles covered with glitter, finally a few pieces of ribbon, and there it is.  Thanks for looking.

Inspired by Clare

This hanging was inspired by Clare on the Paperartsy Blog this week.  I started with a piece of mountboard, painted with Rose Fresco, then added stamping from Lin Browns stamps, then grunge paste through one of JOFY stensils. Finally a layer of watered down Sherbet, as this is an opaque paint and then I used a baby wipe to remove some paint from the wording. For the decoration I used Lin Browns Stamps again on a piece of card painted in Little Black Dress, stamped over in Sherbet and then stamped and embossed in silver.  And there it is thanks for looking.
