I have been using Alchemy Wax In different ways. As well as the normal use adding a lovely finish to mixed media projects. This water based wax can be used as a medium to water colour paint. To give a lovely pearl finish to the edge of a stamped piece, as a background then stamping over the top. Adding a layer of diamond sparkle medium for a matting layer. Next I have used it through a stencil gives a lovely pearl finish particularly good on black card.

Card-io Stamps
This weekend I have had a rest from Christmas shopping and made time to play with some new stamps from Card-io which will be stocked at Keep on Crafting in the New Year. Below are some of the samples I have been making. I have mainly used Archival Inks and some Versafine when I wanted to emboss. With little embellishments!!!

Candle update
Having burnt my decorated candle last night for a couple of hours it seems to be working, have light it again tonight and it seems to be working well. Hopefully the plan is to get it to tunnel down the centre and make a lovely glow through the rice paper. Fingers crossed!!!

Christmas Candle
Being brave - I bought this candle along with its big brother a few years ago knew what I was going to do with it just didn't get it done. So all it is, is a cheap candle that I have covered in Imagination Crafts rice paper, by melting the candle wax and working quickly attached the paper, the ribbons are attached with redline tape. Now the technical bit I want to light the candle but I don't want to melt the outside too much. So back in the myths of my brain I remembered that the lady who owns our local Yankie Candle shop told me that a candle has a memory and will only burn as far as the first time you light and extinguish it. So tonight is a trial. I will let you know how it goes!!!

Gift Bags
It's a couple of years since I first designed these bags, I had nearly forgotten about them but have shown them to several people recently and they have proved popular again. The larger bag is made from 12"x12" scrapbook paper, just a bit of folding and there is a lovely bag. The smaller one is 8"x8" paper, a scoreboard is really useful.
