Something different!!

Not a piece of paper or stamping in this make.  My Christmas door wreath. Completely made from recycled items the wire base from last year, greenery from the garden and decorations from previous years wreaths. The only thing new was the wire used for wrapping but one roll of wire will last three years.

Loved making it down side sore hands!!! Minor detail!!!

Sweet Poppy Stencils

There was a good Black Friday discount on Sweet Poppy Stencils so decided to treat myself to these two stencils which I have had my eye on for a while.

The stag is beautiful for Christmas and I will show some samples later in the week. But this one is using Sparkle Pens for the background and then inked through the stencil with Morning Mist Versaclare ink and embossed with clear powder. Quite effective.

The second one is the Octopus again this is a back ground from my stash mainly done in Distressed Oxides, I then inked through the stencil in the same way but didn’t emboss. This time I outlined in a back pen, added some sparkle and glossy accents to finish.

New horizons

So this week I did my last working session at Keep on Crafting so I will now have more time to work on my blog and designing trying out new products etc etc

Advent boxes

I thought I would show you the Advent Calender that I made using John Next Door dies and Christmas Cardstock  Keep on Crafting. This week I filled this with chocolate coins and donated to our local women’s refuge. This was very much appreciated by them. It is now nearly two years since I volunteered there on a Thursday morning doing a craft workshop each morning. It was so rewarding!! So happy I can give something back!!!

More cards using Magic Mica

So I now have the other set of Craft Artist Magic Mica Pallette Summer Hues. Here are some ideas. Firstly using an embossing folder and the other two are using the new Woodware Hummingbird Stamp. One I put the colour down first then used an antic static bag and the stamped with black versafine and clear embossing powder, but some of the embossing powder carried over to the mica but I like the effect. Then I tried stamping and embossed first and added colour after, the embossing dulled a little, so I polished off a little and it is fine I do like experimenting!!!

Apologies and Magic Mica

Ok so I have been a bad blogger but will try harder, I know I have said that before!!

Anyway this week I purchased a set of Craft Artist Magic Mica, I got the Autumn Hues. They certainly are magic!! Really easy to use and give a lovely effect. Here are a few ideas.

The first three are using woodware stamps and the final pic which is not finished uses an embossing folder and vellum.

Bottle make over

Last week we had a workshop at Keep on Crafting where I showed the ladies how to transform a wine bottle into a piece of art. We started by attaching rice paper to the back of the bottle, then adding a coat or two of Paperartsy paints. Leaving a space on the front to enable you to see through. We then added more rice paper and pearl paper or glitter paper then a coat of Mod Podge. The front is then decorated with buttons or string. Two pictures show a wine bottle with a nautical theme and a gin bottle with a more floral theme.

Lavinia Stamps

I recent started using Lavinia stamps not all fairies but lots of lovely designs here are a few of my recent makes.

Woodware stamps

Bad blogger will try harder.

To start off again here are some samples using the new Woodware stamps and clean colour pens.
